The Sex Offender Notification Unit conducts assessments of sex offenders who move into, or within, the jurisdiction of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

We strive to provide time-sensitive, accurate information to the public and law enforcement agencies concerning sex offender registration within our jurisdiction.

Additionally, the Sex Offender Notification Unit monitors registered sex offender compliance and investigate incidents involving non-compliance.

We are also responsible for conducting Determination Hearings when a registered sex offender requests a review of his or her case to determine if they must continue to register as a sex offender while residing in Maricopa County.
