The Fugitive Apprehension Tactical Enforcement Unit (FATE) is a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Desert Hawk Violent Crimes Task Force. One of the missions of the Task Force is to locate and apprehend violent fugitives wanted on arrest warrants or probable cause. The Task Force works with other MCSO investigative units, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to further this mission. The apprehension and investigation efforts are conducted to ensure the safety of the public, law enforcement personnel, and suspects.
