The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Posse is comprised of people from all walks of life who want to give back to their community. Posse volunteers work with deputies and civilian staff to help improve law enforcement and enhance public safety. While not compensated, the volunteers perform an invaluable service to the community. Posse volunteer personnel are trained in a variety of essential support functions, such as:

  • Search and Rescue

  • Crime Scene

  • Security Patrol

  • Support Administrative

  • Support Civic Functions

  • Disaster Relief

  • Emergency Response

Become a Volunteer!

 MCSO is looking for members of our community who want to volunteer their services and join our team. The program is also a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in exploring a career path in law enforcement.

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • A legal US resident

  • Have a valid driver's license

  • Be in good health

Applicants cannot have been convicted of any felonies, have any misdemeanor convictions in the last 12 months, or a record of improper personal conduct which may affect their suitability for assisting law enforcement.
